3. VENOMOUS SNAKES
3.1 DisclaimerSnakes Alive does not deal in, or with, venomous snakes
in any way whatsoever.
4 . ORDERS AND PAYMENT
4.1 Payment methods
- Payments can be made via EFT or Direct Deposit.
- No cheques are accepted.
- All other orders must be paid for in cash.
The procedure for orders of multiple items is as follows:
1. Email us with the product codes and quantities of everything you want to order.
2. Snakes Alive will e-mail you back with a quote and a special code.
3. If you accept the quote, then simply pay via EFT
or Direct Deposit using the special code as reference.
The procedure for e-mail orders is simple:
1. Place your order.
2. Snakes
Alive will email a bank account number to you.
3. Deposit the cash or
make an EFT.
4. The goods will be dispatched / delivered to you.
4.2 Bank deposit slips
Please complete the 'reference' field with the special code we will e-mail with your quote. This helps us to match your payment with
your order.
5. PRICES
5.1
CurrencyPrices quoted are in South African Rands (ZAR) and apply only
within the borders of the Republic of South Africa.
All prices quoted exclude delivery, postal, or handling charges.
Prices are subject to change without notice.
6. RESERVING STOCK
6.1 Bookings
Stock may be booked or reserved via email subject to the following additional conditions:
A non-refundable deposit equivalent to 50% (fifty percent) of the quoted
price must be paid within 24 (twenty four) hours of the booking request.
Should the required reptile(s) be unobtainable, Snakes Alive
will refund the deposit already paid, or the buyer can choose an
alternative animal of the same value.
7. GUARANTEE
7.1 Refund policy
Snakes Alive does not offer any guarantee on reptiles whatsoever. Once purchased, reptiles will not be exchanged or refunded unless Snakes Alive misrepresented details of the reptile sold with regards to sex and species/morph. All hatchlings leave Snakes Alive having fed at least 3 times. All hatchlings to the best of our knowledge are in good health when they leave us. Snakes Alive will NOT refund a reptile that dies whilst in the custody of the buyer unless the buyer can prove, through a full veterinary autopsy report that the snake was in fact ill whilst still in the care of Snakes Alive before it was purchased. Once reptiles are in the buyer's hands, Snakes Alive will not be held responsible under any circumstances for negligence on the buyer's part.
8. DELIVERY
8.1 Delivery, collections and freight
Snakes Alive, where possible, can arrange for you to collect your order at
an agreed upon collection point.
Deliveries in and around Johannesburg can be
undertaken by Snakes Alive at an additional delivery charge.
Courier and
air freight services can be arranged by mutual agreement.
9. RISK
9.1 Reponsibility
Snakes Alive will deliver all ordered reptiles in good condition and health
to the agreed collection point, courier service, or other transport service.
From there, Snakes Alive cannot be held responsible for damages incurred, or for the
damage or death of
reptiles in transit.
